Welcome #PitMad Authors! We’re excited to learn more about your work!

Dear Authors,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with more information about your work. We’re thrilled to get to know you and the characters and stories you’ve created. #PitMad is such a special event and we’re honored to be a part of it. Below, you’ll find a form for submitting your work, but I wanted to make sure to introduce City Limits Publishing to you prior to your submission.

First, we are a full traditional publishing house. We do not charge our authors for any part of the publishing or distribution process. It goes against our core values and you’ll never be asked to pay for any of our services.

Second, while we’re a new publishing house officially formed in March 2020 and releasing our first books in July 2020, we’re not new to the publishing world. Our team has a combined over 50 years of publishing experience and we’re already making big waves in the industry. And, our authors seem to love our individualized support, marketing, and account management. Their testimonials speak volumes. If you choose to take a chance with us, I promise you we will work hard to make your book a success.

Lastly, I want to invite you to download our Prospective Authors Guide. This PDF will help you learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we can help bring your work to market. After you complete your submission, and after reading our Prospective Authors Guide, if you have any questions, I welcome your email.

The #PitMad Submission Process:

  1. You’re here because we liked your tweet! Welcome! The first step is to fill out the form below and submit your work. For novels, please submit the first 3-5 chapters. For children’s books and picture books, please submit the entire manuscript and a sample of the illustrations.
  2. We’ll get started reviewing your submission right away. We’ll get back to you before our Holiday break on December 23 with any next steps in the process. Additionally, if your work is not chosen for publishing, we’ll contact you via email and explain why we’re rejecting the work and if there are any resubmission opportunities.
  3. Those moved on to the next phase will be asked to provide their full manuscript for further review.
  4. We will then provide you with our formal publishing proposal and begin contract negotiations.
